Susquehanna Valley United Way - United in Recovery

The Behavioral Health and Addiction Impact Council oversees the Northumberland County Opioid Coalition and Snyder-Union Opioid Coalition as well as The Youth Ambassadors. These groups are working collectively to end drug overdose deaths and reduce stigma about addiction in their counties. Coalitions were born out of a collective effort to address the opioid crisis affecting the region and the entire country. Coalition provides training, public speaking and access to online and agency resources.

Lycoming County Health Improvement Coalition, Inc. - Youth Development Task Force

Aims to continuously support, monitor, work and raise awareness on mental and physical health and safety issues of Lycoming County youth. The task force is comprised of student representatives from the nine Lycoming County school districts.

Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance - Safe 80

The Safe 80 Taskforce is comprised of community and regional planners, developers, businesspersons, state and local police, emergency services personnel, elected state and local officials, representatives from PennDOT and other transportation agencies, the media and concerned citizens. The 80 in Safe 80 refers to Route 80.

Hourglass Foundation - Hourglass Foundation

Founded in 1998 to bring people together, to facilitate discussion, to provide information and to enable informed community decision-making on important issues facing Lancaster County. The foundation seeks the input of individuals, organizations and city and county government as it investigates community issues with public feedback, stakeholder interviews, public forums, expert analysis and presentations of investigation findings.

Tasked with the planning for, and development and delivery of, a continuum of care and supportive services for individuals living with HIV or AIDS in this six-county region. This continuum of care is then provided through direct service providers.

Community Prevention Partnership - Drug Free Community

Supports the Northeast Community Springboard Coalition and Project Peace. NCSC is a group of concerned citizens who give their time to prevent and reduce the use of alcohol and other substances by youth in their community. Project Peace is an afterschool program in the Reading School District and the ILEAD Charter School for youth whose mission is to educate others about the dangers of drugs and violence and to increase peace in their community.

United Way of Wyoming Valley - Success by 6

A partnership of local businesses, community social service agencies, and county government that is focused on building a comprehensive early childhood system to address the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of children. Develops strategies based on local needs to ensure children are ready to learn when they enter school. Raises awareness about early childhood development. Improving the delivery of critical services for very young children and their families and advocating for public policy that supports the community's youngest children.
