Offers information and resource navigation for individuals experiencing homelessness in Allegheny County. Services include the following: Provides information and answers questions about emergency shelters and engagement centers for individuals experiencing homelessness in Allegheny County. Makes connections to street outreach for individuals experiencing literal homelessness in Allegheny County. Assesses eligibility for housing programs for people experiencing literal homelessness in Allegheny County.

Offers a day shelter that provides breakfast; mail, fax, and phone services; lockers (30 days max); public restrooms; hot showers with towels and soap provided; crisis intervention and mental health counseling; social service applications and referrals; a monthly legal aid clinic; and an ID clinic to obtain state IDs, birth certificates, and social security cards. Serves as a cooling center or code blue shelter during extreme weather emergencies.

Provides a continuum of care for chronically mentally ill and substance abusing homeless populations. Includes shelter outreach, day therapeutic programming for the dually diagnosed, outpatient, and supported independent living. Programming is accessible through the homeless shelter system or through the Alternative Services Unit of the Behavioral Health.

Provides rental assistance, rapid-re-housing and supportive services to eligible participants.

Case Management Services available to anyone receiving services in the Homeless Assistance Programs.

Provides basic case management services, and rental assistance to adults and families in York County who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk for eviction (NOTE: Referrals to rental assistance are limited as funds are limited). Offers community resource assistance and other services to help prevent homelessness.

Offers primary care such as preventive medical, eye and dental. Prescriptive assistance, education for the client and general population regarding the availability and proper use of health services, mental health referral services as necessary, drug and alcohol referrals services, housing referral s, assistance in obtaining health insurance and when needed socks and personal care items.

Provides a drop-in center for people experiencing homelessness. Offers coffee and meal service, showers, laundry, and transportation to shelter. Offers case management and health care services, including dental, primary care, behavioral health care, and reproductive health care.

Offering the Feeding Families Ministry that provides food pantry, grab and go food services as well as holiday outreach programs, warm clothing for winter, and outreach for the homeless outreach, helping those who are needy. Families can get food 1 time a week.

National Call Center for homeless veterans or veterans at-risk of homelessness. Callers will be connected to trained hotline staff who will conduct a brief screening to assess needs; homeless veterans will be connected with the Homeless Point of Contact at the nearest VA facility; family members and non-VA providers calling on behalf of a homeless Veteran will be provided with information regarding the homeless programs and services available; contact information will be requested so staff may follow-up. Together, the Coalition provides personalized human and housing services for all individuals and families facing or experiencing homelessness, and ensures homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring.

Offers permanent supportive housing to individuals experiencing chronic homelessness.

One time rental assistance to prevent eviction or if homeless towards first month’s rent.

Provides outreach to the veteran homeless community by helping homeless veterans with clothing, hygiene, food, and any other comforts they may need. Offers assistance to homeless veterans who have addictions and offer to get them into treatment if they desire. FSB can help get with shelter, employment, and other services. A homeless veteran qualifies for care through the VA even if it is not service connected. As long as they are under the care of a program, they will get the medical help they need.

Offers a free initial photo ID or renewal to Pennsylvanians experiencing homelessness. Note: Additional documentation will require fees to be paid.
