Provides nursing, physician, and social work services; physical, speech, and occupation therapy; assistance with personal care, meals, and light housework; nutrition counseling; spiritual counseling; oxygen, medical equipment and supplies; volunteer support services; medication to alleviate symptoms; bereavement support and grief counseling, and short-term acute in-patient care.

Investigates all allegations of child abuse and neglect, as mandated by state law. Provides a wide range of services including: Adoption Services, Child Sexual Abuse Center, Child Welfare, Community Education, Emergency Services, Family Support Services, Foster Care and Kinship Care Services, Independent Living Services for Transition-Age Youth, Information and Referral, Home Protective Services (SCOH), Intake Evaluations, Residential Placement, Supervised Independent Living.

Offers books and magazines on loan, public computer and Internet access, printing, copying, faxing, interlibrary loans, and used book sales. Curbside services are available when needed. Serves as a warming/cooling center during periods of extreme cold/heat.

Program utilizes existing transportation assistance systems and case management to assist participants in obtaining and retaining employment. Transportation subsidy assistance is provided on a gradually declining basis as participants achieve longevity in their employment and have the opportunity to develop self-sufficient means of transportation. The program utilizes already existing coordination structures provide the most cost-effective means of transportation assistance. Transitional transportation assistance is available through bus passes, shared-ride transportation, vehicle repair subsidy, mileage reimbursement and child care transportation. Participants are limited to receiving benefits for a maximum of one year. Participants are also limited to a maximum lifetime allowance of $5,000 in benefits.

Supports six senior community centers throughout Centre County which offer a variety of resources.
