Accepts reports (calls) 24 hours a day from any person, in accordance with Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law. The DHS Office of Children Youth and Families Intake Department also takes calls about suspected abuse and neglect. You may remain anonymous. CYF call screeners do not log telephone numbers. The call screener gathers the information and consults with their supervisor about whether to investigate. A supervisor looks at any available DHS and CYF data related to the child and family, assesses risk and safety and either screens out or chooses to investigate. If the child is unsafe, a caseworker is dispatched within two hours.

Provides preventive and acute care including immunizations for newborns, toddlers and adolescents through 18 years of age.

Offers childcare services. Weekly swimming is optional for children ages 2 years and up. Day includes breakfast, lunch and a snack.

Offers 1% loans up to $10,000 for energy efficient home repairs for those with low and moderate incomes. The loans can pay for air sealing, insulation and ductwork, energy-efficient windows and doors, heating and cooling system repairs or replacements, roof replacements, and remediation of barriers preventing Weatherization services. Low interest loans at 1% through PA Housing Finance Agency for income eligible families.

Provides programming for education and resources for smoking cessation in the Hispanic/Latino community.

Works with existing agencies to assist in the acquisition of conservation easements or land in our area. Works with area farmers to help take advantage of the State Agricultural Preservation or other compensation programs.

**COVID-19 Guthrie Health COVID-19 Informatin Line 1-800-836-1925 (Lines open 9 am - 4:30 pm).** The emergency department provides emergency care 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week, 365 days a year, treating acute injuries and illness ranging from minor, but urgent needs, to extremely critical emergencies. We work in cooperation with emergency medical teams throughout our region to help assure that you and your family has access to timely, responsive emergency care. The on-site helipad quickly facilitates transfers to save precious minutes transport time.

Investigates reports involving abused, neglected, exploited, or truant/incorrigible children and provide in-home services to families who meet Children and Youth legal criteria. Provides intervention in family disputes and crises. Offers services including information and referral, courtesy services for other child welfare agencies, screening, mediation and brief intervention, safety and risk assessment, investigations, parent and life skills training, in-home protective services, case management and collaboration, family service planning, placement services, reunification planning, permanency planning, and adoption.

Connects callers with specialists to assist in finding treatment for substance abuse disorders, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions.
