Funds applied to non-medical bills such as rent, mortgage, utilities, groceries and household expenses, transportation and gas, home and vehicle modifications, specialty medical equipment, childcare expenses for siblings, and funeral expenses.

Mobile, voluntary nursing services delivered to individuals where ever they are. Services include ongoing medical and psychiatric assessments coordinated with the individuals other service providers. After hour emergency support available by phone to current clients.

Offers a free 8-session program for families of individuals with severe psychiatric disorders. Course focuses on these disorders: schizophrenia, clinical depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar depression (manic depression), and panic disorder. Covers clinical treatments and how to cope as a family. Also covered will be handling crises and relapses, problem solving, community services, and advocacy. The course is designed for parents, siblings, adult children, and significant others.

Provides part-time community service training assignment to gain experience. Common community service and nonprofit locations like libraries, hospitals, and senior centers. In addition to building skills, individuals will earn an income. Some remote training available.

Offers a support group for single mothers providing friendship, mentoring, education and motivation as well as a variety of training to help single mothers cope and learn new techniques to improve quality of life. Childcare is provided at meetings.

Provides Legal Advocacy and Medical Advocacy. Legal Advocacy includes accompaniment with transportation to Court, Legal proceedings, Legal Aid Agency, Police, and Social Service Agencies; Assistance in filing Protection from Abuse Orders (PFA), Protection from Intimidation Order (PFI) and Protections from Sexual Violence Orders (SVO); Assistance with Crime Victim Compensation claims and support with legal issues, i.e. divorce, child custody, child support. Medical advocacy includes assistance with making medical appointments and accompaniment with transportation to hospitals, doctors and medical professionals.

Offers referrals to help make repairs/adaptations to homes of people in need. Basic home repairs (fixing stairs, railings, holes in walls, flooring, basic plumbing and electrical). Nothing major like roofs, structural issues or additions.

Investigates and documents reports of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment; provides for the temporary placement of children who have been removed from the custody of the adults who are responsible for their care; works with families who are experiencing a problem with child abuse; and provides ongoing supportive services for children in permanent placement.

Assists with consumer complaints against PUC-regulated utility companies (including telephone complaints), utility bill payment plan negotiation, and utility disconnect programs. Offers electric, gas, and water service shutoff programs.

Provides support, training and education in best practices, and facilitates the connection between individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and other special populations, their families, and key stakeholders at local, state, and national levels. Offers calendar of trainings and sensory-friendly events.

The OBRA Waiver Program is designed to provide support for adults diagnosed with Autism. The Advocate will provide services at the home and community and work on targeted skills (life skills, social skills, etc.).

Randomly pairs each accepted artist with a family or friend of a victim of gun violence; the artist will communicate with the family or friend, receive source material such as photographs and stories, and then create a portrait of a victim of gun violence. The definition of a portrait is to be broadly interpreted. The goal is to present diverse works that in some way show the essence of the person being portrayed.
