Team members connect parents and caregivers with resources such as food, clothing, and guardianship, and also provide support and education to encourage healthy parent-child relationships. The team teaches Parenting Inside Out classes in Lancaster County Prison to strengthen family bonds and teach parents to handle some of the common challenges of parenting. They also facilitate hour-long visits between an incarcerated parent and their child(ren). This allows them to read together, play games, or just talk and connect without any barriers separating them.
