The Mortgage Foreclosure Diversion Program, operated by Schuylkill Community Action (SCA) in partnership with the Court of Common Pleas – 21st Judicial District and the Schuylkill County Bar Association, is designed to assist homeowners in resolving mortgage default situations before Sheriff Sale proceedings.
The program helps homeowners understand available options and connect with federal, state, and local resources that may support loan workout solutions, including repayment agreements, loan modifications, or other loss mitigation options when appropriate.
SCA provides skilled housing counseling and support during the court process, including assistance in communicating with lenders and exploring options to retain ownership of the home or reach an appropriate resolution.
This program focuses on early intervention to help homeowners address foreclosure and work toward the best possible housing outcome based on their individual circumstances.
