Provides basic education and review program designed to start the adult student on the road to a GED program.

The Wayne County Office of Children and Youth, under Pennsylvania law, is mandated to investigate all reports of suspected abuse, neglect, or dependency of children from birth to age 18 in Wayne County. Our professional staff investigate reports made to the office and work with families, when appropriate, to address conditions which adversely affect a child’s care. The staff works with families directly and also coordinates services with community resources to improve family conditions. In-home services, placement services, and adoption services are integral to the child protective service function.

Offers therapeutic support to a child in a specified social, behavioral or emotional area of concern; assessment, treatment planning and direction and supervision; and direct therapy to children in the home and community setting.

Provides replacement benefits for individuals and families who had food lost or destroyed in a household disaster (storm, fire, power outage, etc.).

Provides primary family medical care for all ages. Services include women's health, pregnancy care, chronic disease management, nutrition services, urgent care, LGBTQ+ community care, immunization clinics, health counseling, education, guidance, and referrals for speciality medical care.

Offers weekly, full day and extended day sports camps for children in kindergarten to 8th grade. Activities include daily mix of sports such as soccer, flag football, track & field, wiffle ball, swimming, and more.

Provides recovery services to help persons struggling with addictions. Services include individual counseling, group therapy, support groups, intensive outpatient program, and medication assisted treatment (MAT). Also helps persons with overlapping mental health challenges, such as anger, depression, anxiety, poor impulse control, and attention deficit disorders.

Foster care offers a partnership between the agency and foster parents towards meeting the needs of a child while they are living away from their own family. This program works cooperatively with foster parents and the child’s own family to develop a plan to meet the child’s needs and to reunite the child with their own family whenever possible.

Provides a tool lending library and bulk garden materials depot. Seeks to reduce barriers to growing food by making it easier for gardeners in the region to access the tools and supplies they need to grow successful home and community gardens. For a sliding scale annual membership fee, the GRC allows patrons to access free garden tool rentals and bulk materials such as organic compost, mulch, and soil amendments.

Offers programs and services to assist aspiring and existing veteran entrepreneurs such as training, counseling and mentorship, and oversight of Federal procurement programs for Veteran-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.

Provides volunteer opportunities and training.

Offers preschool to help children learn the skills they need to be ready and excited for kindergarten. Teachers have experience working with young children and curriculum includes learning activities that help children grow academically and socially.

Distributes free food to eligible recipients.

Provides a partial program and residential services for consumers in a mental health crisis. An acute psychiatric treatment program based upon a group therapy model. Participation includes individual and group therapy, discussion groups, and socialization activities. Individuals attend the program 3 to 6 hours per day as clinically appropriate.

Urgent care center that offers quick, convenient, access to treat minor illnesses and injuries that are not life threatening. Walk in. No appointment is needed. Offer extended hours, laboratory and x-ray. Click here for a list of Common conditions they treat

Manages the Air Quality Program, oversees Water Supply Management, and ensures Water Quality and Management.

Suicide Survivor Support Groups. Services Offered: Suicide intervention, assessments, and counseling. Participate in and conduct educational awareness events, trainings, workshops, speaking engagements, and other outreach events.

Pays for healthcare services for eligible individuals. Known as Medical Assistance (MA) and Medicaid.

Provides training to the community on cultural awareness and sensitivity to issues faced by members of the deaf and hard of hearing community.

Operates a mobile pantry truck/trailer that travels to different locations to provide in-person food pantry services.

Offers various recreational programs, day camps and after school programs.

Offers a park made up of old agricultural fields and an uneven-aged forest. Provides a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities and unique park features, including multi-use trails open to hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Features an Animal Activity Area, pavilion rentals, fishing activities, limited hunting, and a Dog Training Area.

Offers families aid and alternatives to abortion. Services include one-on-one peer counseling, information on pregnancy and abortion alternatives, maternity and infant clothing up to size 2T, baby formula and baby food, birthing partners, post-abortion counseling, a men's only program for single fathers, child care programs, and tutoring for single mothers who wish to take the GED.

Offers senior citizens a place to gather and enjoy themselves. Each of the centers offer lunch daily as well as a wide range of activities and events.

Provides Foster Care and Treatment services to youth who require 24-hour substitute care as a result of abuse, neglect and/or dependency issues.
