Lycoming County Conservation District, under the delegation of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, is responsible for reviewing Erosion and Sediment Control Plans and inspecting sites for Chapter 102 compliance. An Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, which meets the requirements of the Chapter 102 regulations must be properly designed, implemented, and available on site for all earth disturbance activities. All construction activities proposing to disturb between one and five acres with point source discharge to surface waters of the Commonwealth, or projects disturbing five or more acres of land must be authorized by a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit.

Offers assistance to individuals to apply for federal/state benefits such as PACE (Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly), Medicaid, LIHEAP, property tax and rental rebate, SNAP (food stamps), and utility assistance.

Assists individuals with mental health issues in developing their path to recovery. Individuals work with peer specialists who are or have been the recipients of mental health services. Peer specialists assist individuals in basic living skills, support and advocacy, development of social networks, and with linking individuals to other services.

Offers rehabilitation services, long-term nursing care, transitional care, respite, and hospice services.

Provides access to indoor shelter during cold weather. Shelter activates when temperatures are projected to drop to 25° F or below between the hours of 8 pm to 8am.

Assists clients in finding resources and making referrals. Providess case management for up to 5 years.

Works to make sure homeless youth have access to a free and appropriate education while removing barriers that homeless children face.

Provides law enforcement services.

Distributes fruits and vegetables.

Gathers food donations and distributes them to partnering food pantries and feeding programs. The food is given at no cost, with the agreement that it will be distributed free of charge to those in need. Offers volunteer opportunities.

Foster Grandparents are classroom volunteers that share their time to enhance the quality of life of children and youth in preschools, Head Start centers and schools. Provides per hour stipend, meals while volunteering, mileage/transportation, clearances and training.

Provides case preparation for court, probation and parole supervision, and individual and family counseling.

Children's library within the Roaring Spring Public Library.

An integrated housing community for adults with major mental health and co-occurring mental health and substance abuse use disorders. Offers several levels of support.

Provides Early Head Start, which is often the first connection for families with children from 6 weeks to 3 years old. Focuses on a child’s healthy development: How a child learns, grows, shares feelings, speaks, and makes friends. Helps each family understand their child’s growth and set goals for their path forward. Offers services that include nutrition, safety, mental health, and education support.

Provides a safe haven and supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness who have not yet made a commitment to services, treatment, or may have just recently begun treatment and are seeking additional supports. Offers peer mentoring and outreach, social and recreational activities, and positive engagement to foster commitment to housing, treatment, and recovery.

Provides a variety of day camps designed to meet children's needs to create friendships, have fun and be creative.

Provides early intervention through pediatric therapy services and assesses for the need of other therapy services.

Provides services to individuals with a mental health diagnosis. Services include: Intake, Assessment & Referral Assistance, Case Management, Residential, Nursing, Drop-In Centers, Children's After-School Program, School-Based Mental Health Services, Student Assistance Program, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Vocational Support, Consumer Support Services, Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Inpatient, Intensive Case Management, Family Based Program, Resource Coordination Program, Crisis Program, and Psychiatric Services.
