Provides energy saving improvements to qualifying households to help reduce their utility bills and/or usage. It allows residents a safer living environment with a warmer home during the heating season and a cooler home during the summer. After the home energy evaluation, the following conservation services and/or equipment may include insulation, air sealing, heating system repairs, furnace clean, tune, and safety inspection, door and window caulking and weather stripping, or carbon monoxide and smoke alarms.

Provides list of Al-Anon and Alateen meetings throughout Pennsylvania. Al-Anon Family Groups, which includes Alateen, offer fellowship with others who are relatives and friends of individuals with alcohol use disorder. Information is available about in-person, phone, and virtual meetings.

Provides Allegheny County residents with information about the new SNAP work requirements and assistance with reporting their status. As of September 1, 2025, certain individuals are required to be working for at least 20 hours a week (or 80 hours each month) or qualify for an exemption. Individuals must report that they are meeting these work requirements or verify their exemption. This service provides the forms necessary to report an individual’s work or exemption status. Also offers assistance with completing the forms and submitting them to the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.

Allows parents to be involved in early arts interventions for their infants and toddlers with special needs, along with typically developing children. Programming is focused on music and movement therapies.

Provides guidance to juveniles in an attempt to curtail any future delinquent acting out. They also provide the victim with a community forum to assist with reparation. Youth Aid Panels take justice out of the courtroom and place it in the community, giving all those involved, the offender, the victim, and the community, more input in the outcome of the case.

Offers a wide range of sports leagues, tournaments, classes, clinics, and outings to sporting events. Additionally, use of the gymnasium is free to members to play sports.

Offers 24 hour, on-call staff members who provide emergency service in situations of actual or threatened abuse, and are trained to detect, reduce, and eliminate abuse, neglect, exploitation, and abandonment of older adults.

A parent of a new baby under 28 days of age, who feels that they cannot care for the baby, can give the baby to one of the nurses Divine Providence Hospital and simply leave without giving name or address. If they choose, they may give the nurse a medical history of the baby. The baby receives a check up to be sure it receives medical care for any health problems. Lycoming County Children and Youth Services and one of their employees will come to the Emergency Department and see that the baby is placed in a loving, caring home. Both the parent and baby receive an identification bracelet with a confidential medical record number from the Emergency Department. This allows the parent to contact Lycoming County Children and Youth Services if they want information on the baby after leaving it in the Emergency Department.

Volunteers who are 55+ are recruited and trained to lead support groups in sites throughout the community such as senior community centers and senior apartment buildings.

Offers a collection of more than 6 million items, ranging from books and magazines to art, music, film, and other media. Also provides computers for public use, Internet access, and printing/ copying services. Hosts a variety of cultural and educational events and programs.

Provides an after school program that brings hands-on learning opportunities, for middle school students, with an emphasis on STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics). Connects students with local businesses, artists, makers, educators, and professionals to share knowledge and provide diverse learning experiences. Volunteers welcomed.
