Offers a free 8-session program for families of individuals with severe psychiatric disorders. Course focuses on these disorders: schizophrenia, clinical depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar depression (manic depression), and panic disorder. Covers clinical treatments and how to cope as a family. Also covered will be handling crises and relapses, problem solving, community services, and advocacy. The course is designed for parents, siblings, adult children, and significant others.

Fire department

Provides emergency assistance for financially struggling individuals and families in crisis. Provides assistance for needs such as food, clothing, shelter, rent, household utility expenses and similar miscellaneous living needs. Referrals made for assistance not offered at facility.

Offers post-secondary educational opportunities in academic, technical, and trade areas, as well as enrichment programs for community residents.

Provides air conditioned space during extreme heat emergencies

Monitors and permits in the areas of air and water quality, solid waste management, radiation and toxicology, oil and gas drilling, community environmental control (public health), dams and waterways management, and soil and water conservation.

Conducts confidential interviews to gather information from individuals who use mental health or drug and alcohol services. Teams of peers survey various agencies on an annual basis and results are shared with the local community support program committee, CCBH and the Mental Health Offices of Bradford and Sullivan Counties.
