Municipal office

Office is responsible for transporting all prisoners, transporting juveniles to and from detention centers and courts; docketing and serving summons, civil papers, mortgage foreclosures, personal sheriff's sales, protection from abuse orders, civil complaints, landlord/tenant complaints, orders of possession and execution for District Justices, and court bench warrants; conducting sheriff's sales; removing weapons from the homes; making arrests if a defendant violates the Protection from Abuse Order and for court bench warrants; and selling licenses for firearms to gun dealers and issuing concealed pistol permits.

Offers a network of organizations working to prevent unintentional childhood injury. Initiatives include Family Education, Providing Safety Devices, and Advocacy for Better Laws to Help Keep Children Safe and Healthy.

Provides a costumed interpreter to your location to give an hour long presentation which will include a power point, a description of village life, and access to various artifacts and replicas which represent Eckley Miners’ Village.

Laparoscopic and open surgeries. Many surgical patients are able to go home after surgery. This will depend on the complexity of the surgery.

Offers a volunteer / internship program that provides opportunities to help facilitate social skills groups for persons with autism spectrum disorder ages 21 and under. Internship provides work experience for persons going into the behavioral health field.

Inpatient rehab for patients requiring intensive 24 hour therapy services and medical management. Care is coordinated by a doctor who specialists in rehabilitation medicine. Patients receive care from nurses with specialized rehabilitation training who reinforce therapy goals in addition to managing the patient's medical needs.

Offers support in a group setting.

Single Care cards can be used at participating pharmacies on any prescription that is not covered by any type of insurance. The card cannot be used in combination with any type of insurance. It also must be used at a participating pharmacy. The card must be presented each time the prescription is filled. It can be used over again.

Lawyers who offer information and guidance regarding legal matters, proposed lines of conduct, claims or contentions including opinions on the party's rights, responsibilities and liabilities; and who offer suggestions for an appropriate course of action, but do not represent clients in court.

Counseling in a group setting.

Provides monitioring services and medical alerts to provide a safe, secure solution for independent seniors and others requiring in-home care in the case of emergencies. This program provides free groceries and essential food items to eligible individuals and families in need.

Provides free loans of books (including large print), magazines, audio and video recordings, reference services, delivery to the homebound, children and adult educational programs, and use of facilities for community events. Offers public computers available, free Wi-Fi, and printing available for $0.25/page. Acts as a cooling center.

Treats young adults ages 18 to 26 with symptoms from anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal thoughts, Borderline Personality Disorder, early onset psychosis and/or substance abuse psychosis, and other conditions. Specialties include treating addictive behaviors, failure to launch, and issues experienced by the LGBTQ+ community.

Offers recreational and social activities for older adults. Activities include educational opportunities, health screenings, and visits to cultural sites and other places of interest. Lunch is available at each center.

Support Services and Consumer Resources offers assistance on a variety of legal, financial and health services. Age eligibility may apply. Provides a program designed for children ages 6 to 11 who have been having behavior difficulties at home, school, or in the community. SNAP helps children and parents effectively deal with anger by teaching them how to respond in a way that makes their problems seem smaller, not bigger.
