Services include Meals on Wheels, a congregate meal program, fitness classes, a computer lab, arts and crafts, educational speakers, a mobile pet food program, tax assistance, form completion assistance, and trips. NOTE: Does not offer direct financial assistance. Operates as a cooling station for those who cannot adequately cool their homes or do not have a place to cool down.

Purchases meals to support local restaurants and delivers them to friends quarantined at home. Delivers bags of food, fresh produce, hygiene items, and other needed resources (toilet paper).

Prepares and delivers meals to registered clients daily. Meets Department of Aging and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) nutrition requirements. Can prepare meals to suit specific dietary and health requirements.

Provides adequate, well-balanced, home delivered meals to homebound people who are unable to shop for and unable to prepare meals for themselves. The meals are prepared at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania under Kosher dietary guidelines. Meals may be meat or dairy and are based on a four-week menu cycle. Recipients may request 1 or 2 daily meals.

Assessment of need is done through our office and we work with volunteers and subcontractors to deliver appropriate service. Some of the services are: A) Home Delivered Meals: A meal is provided to functionally disabled, home-bound, or convalescent people age 60+ B) Personal Care Service: Provides personal grooming help - bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and transferring C) Respite Care: Program designed to provide relief to the primary caregiver. Eligibility and hours will be determined in the assessment process D) Chore Service: Minor home repair may be possible when safety and necessary upkeep is required E) Protective Services: Reports of abuse can be made by calling 717-334-9296 or 800-548-3240 24 hours a day

Offers hot meals and home-delivered meals to homebound older adults. Provides APPRISE counselors who help with Medicare information and resources. Assists with income tax, the Rent/Property Tax Rebate Program, LIHEAP, and PACE assistance forms and applications. Offers health screenings, produce vouchers, referrals, health and nutrition education, volunteer opportunities, and social, physical, and recreational activities. Also operates as a cooling station for those who cannot adequately cool their homes or do not have a place to cool down.

Provides meals through distribution to their homes or residences.

Offers five meals that are prepared at a Jewish Home of NEPA and are delivered frozen to the consumer. Delivery is once per week. All meals are Kosher and special dietary needs are met.

Offers services and programs to seniors, ages 50 and above. Includes: PA MEDI: Trained staff and volunteers assist individuals in navigating the Medicare system and help them to understand all available options. Meals on Wheels: Provides nutritious hot and cold meals to homebound individuals. Health & Wellness: Offers health promotion and disease prevention, fitness classes, walking clubs, and wellness screenings. Living & Learning after 50: Courses, classes, events, trips and workshops for active older adults, including a Senior Expo. Volunteer Opportunities Senior Community Centers: Offer a variety of programs and services as well as lunch-time meals.

Provides a monthly distribution of shelf-stable kosher food directly to recipient homes. Families with children under age 18 will also receive kid-friendly snacks.
