Friends of the Poor and Catherine McAuley Center - Transitional Housing for Families Program

Operates a ten-unit scattered site transitional housing program for homeless women with or without children. Clients coming from the Center's Emergency Shelter or the Women's Resource Center Shelter receive rental assistance and supportive services while residing in scattered site apartments. Services include: case management, assistance in acquiring safe housing, rental and utilities assistance for up to 12 months, life Skills training and goal setting, furniture and household items, emergency food and clothing, art therapy, counseling and legal services, assistance with job training and education, linkages to community agencies, and recreational opportunities.

Lancaster County Housing and Redevelopment Authorities - Home Repair Program

Offer 0% interest loans to low and moderate-income homeowners who reside in Lancaster County outside the Lancaster city limits. Loans are for code and safety issues only. A lien is placed on the homeowner's property and no monthly payments are required. Loans are not due until the home is sold, or the deed is transferred. (i.e. plumbing, electrical, replace/repair all types of heating systems, roof, structural/foundation issues)

Carbon County Action Committee For Human Services - Emergency Housing Assistance

* Emergency Housing Assistance (EHA) will provide one month rent/security deposit to individuals who are in danger of eviction or homelessness. Individuals must meet eligibility and affordability guidelines and requirements and may receive assistance only one time. *Other Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Services in the form of security/utility deposits, first month rent, rental arrears, or current month's rent are also available to individuals experiencing a hardship that are either "homeless" or at "risk of homelessness". Some income, eligibility, residency, and affordability guidelines and requirements exist and can vary by program.

Pennsylvania Department of Human Services - Emergency Rental Assistance Program

Provides assistance to households that have experienced economic insecurity and have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. ERAP provides tenant households assistance with rental costs and utilities to include past money owed. This funding source may be different from other county COVID-19 Emergency Rent Payament Assistance Programs. In some cases both funds may be used. County case managers will be able to offer guidance.
