A regular schedule of visits and calls are scheduled to provide the necessary support, while also providing additional services during emergency situations such as severe weather, property damage, or utility issues.

Friends Association provides free legal representation, financial assistance, and social service support to individuals and families facing eviction through the Eviction Prevention Court Program. The program currently serves the Downingtown and Coatesville District Courts. Homelessness Prevention Programs provide community-based services and eviction prevention for families that balance financial assistance, landlord mediation, and case management for 12-18 months to support economic self-sufficiency and the resiliency of families.

Administrative Service Coordination is available as needed for individuals who are managing community living on their own. Targeted Service Coordination is available to those who have more complex needs and challenges with community living.

Supports Coordination is the connecting bridge between the person with an intellectual disability/autism and the services and supports they need. Individuals with disabilities are assigned to a Supports Coordinator who locates, coordinates, and monitors services and supports for people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
Uses the evidence-based Parents as Teachers model to teach pre- and post-natal health education during home-visits in addition to providing health screenings and referrals for conditions like maternal depression and child developmental delays, health insurance and food benefits enrollment assistance, information on reproductive healthcare, family planning, childcare, and overall socio-emotional support for pregnant and parenting people with children ages 0-18 months.

  • finding them a safe and secure place to live and furnishing it with donated household goods and furniture
  • greeting them at the airport and bringing them to their new home

  • ensuring they receive a thorough medical screening from one of the partner refugee health clinics at PENN Center for Primary Care for adults or Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
  • orienting them to the community and providing financial literacy lessons.
