Uses specialized knowledge and training, along with the latest techniques and technology, to provide coordinated growth and preservation planning for all of Chester County.

Oversees Northampton County operations, including administration/human resources, economic development, corrections, court services, fiscal affairs, human services, public works, and the offices of the Coroner, Public Defender, Sheriff.

Administers the services and programs of the City of Lebanon including: permits and licenses, recreation, community and economic development, accounts and finances, engineering, traffic, highway, recycling, building and zoning, shade trees, bureau of police, and public safety.

Provides base map for land-use planning or general planning work purposes.

Serves as the governing legislative body for Carbon County. Provides direction and technical assistance to property owners, architects, general contractors, and developers regarding zoning, land development, planning maps, use of buildings, property site improvements, rehabilitation of historic structures and the requirements of City land use, and development and subdivision regulations.

Exists to serve citizens by educating and addressing municipal questions and needs. This can be done in one of three ways: through their Treasury Office, Call Center or Website. - Treasury Office: Accepts payment of all City of Reading bills and fees except water (RAWA) bills and property taxes. Allows walk-ins and processes payments received by all City of Reading departments. Additionally, Treasury posts payments to applicable accounts, and provides account balances upon request. - Call Center: Manages the city toll-free phone number. Answers citizens questions and responds to citizens request. Log missed trash and recycling occurrences. Accept calls in English and Spanish. The City's Fire and Rescue Department is providing free smoke detectors, complete temporary installations and fire prevention literature to approved applicants. Principal responsibilities are to work with elected and appointed officials and the general public to create and implement the county's comprehensive plan. LCPC reviews all proposals and amendments related to land use (zoning ordinance, zoning map, subdivisions, land developments, comprehensive plans) as required by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code and also sewage facilities plans as required by Act 537.

Provides general advice and information about sub-division of land, and referrals to local municipality.
