Provides an opportunity for senior volunteers to play a special role in the lives of young children in neighboring school districts and youth centers. Foster grandparents work one-on-one with children identified as high-risk or having special needs, supporting their physical, mental, emotional and social development.

Relief efforts organized by the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce; provides assistance to community members in need in the chamber's service area. Assistance has included raising funds for victims of natural disaster as well as assisting veterans, senior citizens and disabled individuals through a Home Safety Program.

Provides public school special education services and supports for preschool children with special needs. If a child is found eligible for services, an Individualized Education Program is developed to provide support for the child's participation in typical preschool activities. Supports include training and consultation for the staff working with the child in their early learning program, special instruction, and related therapies. The program provides the supports to enable a child to attend an early learning program, but does not provide the early learning program unless the child's needs can only be met in a preschool special education environment.

Serves as the point of contact for the veterans and regional veterans administration office. Distributes flags and markers for county veterans graves. Assists in assessing veteran discharge records, medals, awards, etc.

Offers weekly individual outpatient addiction treatment or intensive day treatment. Day treatment is three days/week participation and includes individual and group therapy, life skills and parenting education, and personal violence support.

Varied levels of care are available for referral. Options include: Short-Term Inpatient Services: care in a licensed inpatient psychiatric unit of a hospital for those unable to manage themselves because of severe mental disability. Long-Term Inpatient Care: Referral to a state hospital with the approval of MH/DS . A plan for discharge back to the community is developed upon admission. Partial Hospitalization: A day treatment (outpatient) service offering a full range of mental health treatment for a minimum of three hours and a maximum of six hours per day for up to five days per week. Outpatient Services: Consist of diagnosis, evaluation and/or treatment of persons with a mental disability not requiring hospitalization. Types of treatment include individual, group, family therapy, or medication when other modalities are insufficient to meet consumer needs.

Responsible for the Lycoming County and Lycoming Creek Watershed Stormwater Management Plan and Model Stormwater Ordinance. The purpose of the Stormwater Plans and Model Ordinance is to better manage stormwater to maintain or decrease current flood levels, prevent damage to stream banks, improve water quality, and increase groundwater infiltration.
