Training topics include: signs and symptoms of sleep apnea, what to expect during a sleep test, treatment options for sleep apnea, and an overview of Breathe PA's Patient Assistance Program, which can help with CPAP machines and supplies for qualifying individuals. Training is available to senior centers, community centers, and more.

Head Start is a childhood education program that focuses on promoting the school readiness of eligible children ages 3 to 5 through family involvement, health and nutrition, education and family social services. The Head Start program is designed to increase children’s literacy, cognitive development, and social-emotional development, as well as support children’s health and well-being. Children receive vision, hearing and lead screenings on-site and are provided with a nutritious breakfast and lunch daily.

Offers a mentoring program that connects youth and young adults ages 14 to 26 who are aging out of the Pennsylvania foster care system with a mentor or mentor family. They will assist them with the transition into adulthood and develop a lifelong support for the young adults in the program.

Volunteer opportunities for mental health consumers and other interested adults.

Helps residential customers maintain electric service and eliminate their past-due balance. PCAP offers a reduced bill that is based on a percentage of income and debt forgiveness. Debt forgiveness credits are applied directly to participants' electric service accounts in recognition of payments that are made on time and paid in-full.

WIC is a free program for those who qualify that offers: A) eWIC benefits to purchase nutritious foods at the grocery store. WIC foods support proper growth and development for pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5. B) Nutrition education to help new parents build a strong nutritional foundation for their families, and help children develop healthy eating habits that can last a lifetime. C) Breastfeeding support to help new mothers have a successful breastfeeding experience. D) Farmer’s market vouchers to purchase fresh, local produce. E) Referrals to health care and social services to help you stay connected to prenatal and pediatric medical care, as well as community services and programs that help your family stay healthy and strong.

Provides daycare/childcare services, and pre-K schooling. Emphasis of this program is on socialization, Christian awareness, and readiness skills. Utilizes a curriculum representing a multi-sensory approach to age appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and play. Preschool class incorporates cognitive skills such as alphabet, and simple math and science activities.

STD/HIV services include testing and treatment of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis, as well as testing and referral services for HIV. Partner notification of possible exposure to STDs and HIV is available and serves to increase testing and treatment to reduce the spread of disease.

Maintains a world-wide directory of Survivors of Incest Annonymous (SIA) self-help and support group meetings. Creates and distributes information tools such as literature, newsletter, and electronic media.

Head Start, PA Pre-K Counts programs and childcare. Child care centers include locations in Fountain Springs, Mahanoy City, Pottsville (2 locations), Saint Clair, Schuylkill Haven, Shenandoah, and Tamaqua.

Offers preschool programming that includes music, art, reading readiness, and many creative activities.

Engages youth in social-emotional learning, mindfulness training, and topic-based conversations as they are guided through the writing process. Participants produce four to six original pieces of writing per year in the genres of narrative writing, informative writing, descriptive writing, and poetry. Program offered weekdays during the school year.
