Service is provided according to the needs of the individual. The objective is to help them live as independently as possible and to connect them to natural supports that provide a network for continued independence.

The Property Tax/Rent Rebate is based on the property taxes paid directly or included in the rent paid during the previous calendar year, or the claim year.

PossAbilities, Adult Day Activities, embodies the mission of Avenues by providing year round day support designed specifically for adults of 18 years of age and older with moderate to profound developmental and/or physical disabilities. PossAbilities provides a variety of services based on an individual's specific needs and abilities. Functional Skills Training Each program participant who attends the adult training facility (ATF) has goals to target specific areas of training, which are developed by the interdisciplinary team. These goals aid individuals in achieving their highest level of independence and environmental control. Training focuses on the following areas, based on an individual's needs and preferences. Some areas of training may overlap to increase independence in all aspects of their lives. Provides pet care and adoption services including microchipping, dog licensing, spay/neutering, and responding to reports of animal cruelty.

Offers Head Start, a free federal program for preschool age children. Certified teachers assist children in developing school readiness and self-help skills needed to transition into kindergarten successfully. Multiple locations across Lawrence County.

Municipal office

Provides eligible individuals with vouchers to purchase Pennsylvania-grown produce at participating farmers’ markets and farm stands. Offers a program that is structured for children whose needs and safety concerns require a 24 hour treatment environment. The residential treatment program provides comprehensive services.

Provides one-way transportation to any given location, with each direction being considered a separate trip. For example, taking an individual from home to work and then back again is considered two trips.

Offers a full range of educational programs that emphasize healthy relationships and challenge the acceptance of violence as a means of coping with adversity. Age appropriate courses are tailored to students from elementary school through college. All programs are offered in-person and virtually.

Offers Fitness programs for children and adults, Youth sports programs, before and after-school child care (Dover School District and Central School District), an Active older adult exercise program, and part-day child care for preschool-age children, ages 2-5 years.
