Hosts a food pantry to provides food to alleviate hunger and promote proper nutrition, particularly among children and the elderly. Eligible persons can receive food up to 12 times a year plus Christmas and Easter.

Offers volunteer opportunities teaching an adult reading, writing, math, or English language skills in one-to-one or small group settings.

Provides gas cards for individuals to purchase gasoline for their vehicle in order to make necessary travel for medical appointments. Does not help with bus travel.

Case management services assist individuals with goal setting to help individuals and families to establish and sustain self-sufficiency. Referrals are made to the appropriate resources to help provide housing and utility funds, budgeting and job search counseling.

Provides activities and life skill development for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Activities include: spa day, cooking classes, improving fitness and mobility, and playing games.

Offers immunizations to the most vulnerable populations in the commonwealth, particularly the uninsured and under-served, and are provided at the state health centers, community ventures, and community-based events.

Provides a fully furnished, safe, decent, affordable and supportive housing for single adults. Provides clothing and other necessities, common kitchen and lounge areas, and laundry facilities.

Offers four programs to help low-income Pennsylvania residents get or keep their telephone service. They are:

• Lifeline: Provides a credit of $11.75 on the regular monthly telephone bill. Persons are eligible if they receive SSI or TANF or their yearly income meets Lifeline guidelines. Persons eligible for this program receive a $20 credit towards the connection charge.
• Lifeline 135: Provides a credit of up to $9.25 on the regular monthly telephone bill. Customer can purchase Optional Services (Caller ID, Call Waiting, etc.) and certain packages that include local toll and /or optional services. Persons eligible for this program receive a $20 credit towards the line connection charge.
• Universal Telephone Assistance Program (UTAP): Helps Verizon Pennsylvania low-income customers pay some or all of their telephone bill's basic charges. The nature center offers a free educational experience in nature. Their educational lobby offers hands-on activities, a live honeybee observation hive, a store, a critter hunt, and much more.

Provides information regarding gardening and environment including composting and soil, flowers, fruits, gardening, indoor plants, lawns and grass, pesticides, trees and shrubs, vegetable and herbs, water and ponds, and wildlife damage management.
