Provides a program designed to re-integrate veterans to college through three-phases. Phase I: Participants will complete a ten-week paid research experience, complete a team project, learn 21st century skills in workshops, and prepare to begin classes at a local college. Phase II: Participants will continue to refine their academic interests and apply for a formal program at the University of Pittsburgh or an institution of their choice. Phase III: Participants will enroll in a university and prepare to graduate from the ELeVATE program.

Educational advocates assist parents and children by working cooperatively with Berks County school districts in obtaining appropriate Educational services for children.

Operates a food pantry that provides non-perishables, meat, and dairy, along with a free clothing pantry with gently used clothes that have been donated.

Provides food assistance to those in need.

Offers a preschool program with the purpose to provide developmentally appropriate activities for children in a Christian atmosphere. These activities include play, large & small motor activities, language usage, art, music, children's literature and group/individual learning activities. The children also participate in a Bible story program and prayer time integrated throughout the preschool curriculum. Children take part in a lending library. A large gym is available for inside play and a playground for outside play.

Provides transitional housing programs for victims of domestic violence. Case managers are assigned to provide services appropriate to clients' needs at varying stages of separation from an abusive partner. Services include short term housing services and life skill workshops.

Provides pregnancy counseling.

Provides a Summer Day Camp program for area children.

Provides eligible clients with transportation in one of the following ways: A) Public Fixed-Route Bus - Bus tickets will be provided to passengers who live on or near the bus routes, and appointments should be scheduled according to the bus schedules. B) Mileage Reimbursement - Access to a private vehicle (client's or client's family member). C) Shared-Ride Paratransit Service - Public Fixed-Route is unavailable and no access to a vehicle. GO Westmoreland will provide transportation to and from qualified Medicaid enrolled providers who are generally available and used by other members of the community or locality in which you are located. Please note that GO will not provide trips that are less than ¼ mile.

Intensive Outpatient Program allows participants to reside at home and conduct their lives while benefiting from a structured and supportive level of care that meets three times a week.

Enforcement of State Game Laws

Offers six professionally designed and directed theatrical productions from September through June, plus a holiday and summer show, and Family Series.

Provides free confidential and comprehensive services, as well as aid in accessing a variety of social services, to victims of domestic violence and their children. Also offers friends and family members council who know or suspect domestic violence.

Provides in-home services for families at risk for child abuse and neglect. Through counseling, parenting and life skills education, and referrals to community organizations, families improve their functioning and connect with the resources they need to provide a safe and secure home for their children.

Offers general tax information, mailing address correction, twice paid or overpaid taxes, real estate tax refunds, delinquent installment tax payments, lien tax payments or information, and dog, fishing, and hunting licenses. Also manages the application process for small games of chance licenses (bingo, raffles, etc.).

Offers grassroot groups organized by families, for families of individuals who have Intellectual disabilities and Autism receiving Intellectual disability Services (IDS) who share and network with one another to be informed about local and statewide resources.

Grants wishes for veterans who are unable to fulfill them for themselves.

Engages in community health assessment and quality assurance activities and provides other public health services, including community integration and outreach programs, to promote healthy behaviors. Program support services include communicable disease reporting and investigation, epidemiology, informational and referral, chronic disease prevention and intervention programs, communicable disease clinical services including sexually transmitted disease and tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment, immunization, HIV counseling/testing, counseling and education, and family health programs, along with environmental health services.

Individual and group counseling and educational activities aimed at helping adolescents prepare for independence (budgeting, employment, apartment living, etc.).

Municipal office

Provides books, educational toys, and twice-weekly home visits from Early Learning Specialists over the two-year program cycle. Connects families to other needed supports, including housing, medical, and educational services. Program graduates also receive assistance with enrolling in preschool programs.

Offers the services of district courts. Also offers an eCommerce website which allows the public to securely pay criminal fines, costs, and restitution to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Common Pleas and Magisterial District courts.

Provide prevention and educational programs to community groups, businesses, and students.
