HYPE (Healthy Youth Positive Energy) is a student led club passionate about creating a healthy school community through advocacy, peer to peer support, and leadership to prevent substance use and promote positive mental health. By engaging youth directly in a collaborative community-based change effort, HYPE aims to give young people the skills, confidence, and experiences they need to become effective advocates for positive social change. HYPE is: -Student leaders identifying and impacting social issues. -Positive messaging campaigns and activities to promote informed positive choices. -Activities reducing drug abuse, overdose and mental health struggles and suicide. -Advocates for better resources and support for youth in school and the community. CTC supports HYPE by providing training, resources, and support, including funding through mini grants and opportunities to implement their prevention initiatives.
