The WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program provides nutrition education, supplemental food and ongoing follow up to pregnant or breastfeeding women, infants and children (up to age 5) who are at nutritional risk.

A federally-funded rental assistance program where applicants who receive vouchers from the City Housing Authority must find a privately owned dwelling in the city whose owner is willing to participate in the program. The individual/family pays a certain percentage of their income for rent and utilities. The Authority pays the balance directly to the property owner. Units are inspected once a year. Programs within Section 8:

• Family Self-sufficiency Program provides case management that assists families in becoming self-sufficient and can aid in the transition from welfare to work. It is a voluntary program.

Enables persons with disabilities to ride a public bus for one-half of the regular fare.

Works with law enforcement, local businesses, schools, and the community to reduce the number of annual highway deaths in Bucks County. The program targets demographics with statistically higher numbers of traffic-related fatalities including teens and older adults, and specific behaviors such as aggressive driving, driving under the influence, and distracted driving that contribute to higher crash rates.
