Bilingual bicultural staff assists and connects consumers with programs, benefits, and services that they may be eligible for such as state benefits through the PA Compass System, welfare benefits, public health insurance, etc. Due to their extensive network with local providers they are able to refer clients to where their clients are able to have their needs met. Provides referrals to social service agencies, advocacy, notary services, etc. including referrals to Safe Berks if client fears for her/his life. Dedicated Personnel trained on domestic violence service support through Safe Berks.

Provides primary care for patients of all ages, from newborns through end-of-life care. Delivers regular preventive care as well as treatment for illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.

Services include: Food Clothing Limited financial aid for fuel, utilities and transportation Aid to families who are victims of a fire Mobile canteen service (used primarily to serve fire, police and utility personnel at the scene of emergencies) Residential camp program offered one week each summer for disadvantaged youth from 7 to 13 years

Provides hot meals

Teaches techniques for cooking safely, identifying canned goods, freezer items and medicines, managing laundry and housekeeping tasks, and keeping the household well-organized. Staff assists with marking appliances and with evaluating and implementing safety related changes within the home.

Exam includes clinical breast exam and PAP Smear to test for abnormal cells which could lead to cancer.

This program provides free groceries and essential food items to eligible individuals and families in need.

Offers hot sit-down meals to homeless individuals. After the meal, staff and volunteers meet with interested persons for common prayer and mutual support.

Provides a voluntary program for parents in a temporary crisis situation who need time to re-establish stability in their lives while knowing their children are in a safe and loving environment. Parents who are facing a crisis such as temporary homelessness, sudden illness, brief incarceration, or mental health issues can allow their children to temporary live with a compassionate, and trained host family without giving up any parental rights.

Offers K-12 out-of-school programming that fosters an inclusive, informal learning environment for children, teens, and families, with accessible learning activities that build on life skills, Maker philosophies, and wellness concepts. Offers free homework assistance. Introduces hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and Humanities programming. Promotes a love of reading and literacy.

Provides rental assistance.

Offers an all-inclusive licensed 2380 training facility/community based day program for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Transportation to and from the center is offered. Participants are offered exercise, volunteer opportunties, recreational and educational activities. Referrals/intake are made to office in Tamaqua; location of day program is in Stroudsburg.

Provides therapy, trauma workshops, support groups, and mental health education for children, teens, adults, and families impacted by gun violence. Also provides trauma education and training for staff of partner community organizations designed to help staff support one another while working in vulnerable communities impacted by gun violence.

Provides creative recreational experiences in cooperative indoor and/or outdoor settings. Camp offers a variety of activities, including swimming, sports, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises, all designed to promote physical activity, social development, and teamwork

Offers community outreach that provides a meal, food pantry, and clothing.

Provides intensive, in-home services for children and adolescents experiencing significant emotional or behavioral issues, and their families. Helps caregivers support their children in their homes and prevent out-of-home placement.

Offers a personal care home community for seniors who need some assistance with activities of daily living. Services include light housingkeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and trash removal. Has nurses and medical technicians on staff.

Provides warming center during extreme weather events.
