Community CARES - Cumberland County's Coordinated Entry Access Site

Establishes a goal to quickly identify homeless people, prevent homelessness, assess needs, and connect them to housing and services. Serves as the Access site for Cumberland County through Community CARES. This site also attempts to divert homelessness with prevention services where possible.

Family Promise of Southern Chester County - Family Promise Resource Center

Offers many services and amenities that families need, including basic necessities such as showers, laundry, a kitchen, toys for kids, and a place to spend family time together and play family-appropriate games. Provides a mailing address where families can get mail and have their children enrolled in their own school district Works with other community organizations and provides a case manager to help guests find jobs, housing, and other social services. Provides ongoing mentorship and support to families that have found stable housing to ensure they have what they need to maintain independence and stability.

Provides a Christ-based, highly structured, 9-month transitional residential program for women coming out of homelessness. Program includes extensive Life Skill development, budget coach, and mentoring. Entrance into program is selective with a lengthy application process. This program is non-smoking with zero tolerance for substance use.

Family Promise of the Poconos, Inc. - Family Promise of the Poconos Inc. Emergency Shelter

Provides transitional housing to help families achieve sustainable independence through safe shelter and services by a collaborative network of community organizations. Case Manager works with each family to plan their rapid return to independent housing. Helps with the services a family might need, such as: securing housing, employment, job training, and connecting to services. Pets with a Promise allows families to keep their pets while working towards independence in the program.
