Intent of this program is to bridge an unusual financial crisis that disrupts employment due to lack of transportation. IHS supports vehicle repair costs from an automotive garage and/or itemized cost of parts for the do-it-yourselfer. If approved, IHS payments will be made to the repair garage or the parts shop.

Assists individuals employed or attending a post secondary education or training program with purchase or repair of a vehicle. Offers up to $2,000 in purchase or up to $1,000 in repair.

Provides emergency aid, in the form of either a direct grant (a cash gift, not to be repaid) or an interest-free loan, and by giving college scholarships to children of soldiers.
