Provides a specialized form of foster family care intended for children and youth whose needs exceed the capabilities of a traditional foster home. Such children are often sent to group homes or institutions, which do not provide a family living experience. As a vital alternative, a treatment family is specially selected and trained to deal with the child's special needs and to help each child grow in a successful family atmosphere. Through family activities and community events, children participating in Family-Based Services will learn the responsibilities and behaviors that come with being part of a caring family.

Child Guidance Resource Centers provides community-based therapeutic, supportive, and preventive behavioral healthcare services for children, adolescents, and families with mental health, developmental disability, and residential needs.

Services include grocery shopping, minor home maintenance, help completing forms, help with money management, coordinating transportation, medication reminders, friendly visitors, and more.

1) Pre-Driving Evaluation: No car, physician referral necessary 2) On-the-Road Evaluation: Referrals to Al Mumma's Driving School Program is for anyone who is physically disabled, has a head injury or mental impairment (learning disabilities, Alzheimer's, dementia). Disability can be lifelong or an acquired one (accident, stroke).Reaction times, visual acuity and searching techniques are all checked in the evaluation.
